Planning Board

The Planning Board consists of 5 regular members and 2 alternate members as per the Ordinance to Establish the Planning Board (click here to view). Each member is elected by the town residents by secret ballot for 3 year terms.
The present members of the Board and their term expirations are:

Agendas & Minutes

The CEO reviews applications for submission completeness prior to the Planning Board’s complete application deadline. All application forms, fees, written information and plans which an applicant intends to submit in support of any application made to the Planning Board shall be submitted to the Code Enforcement Officer no later than twenty-one (21) days prior to the Planning Board meeting.

Applicants for matters requiring action by the Planning Board should obtain copies of the relevant Ordinances for further information as to the material that should be submitted. (Environmental Control Ordinance, Section 7: Site Plan Review; Subdivision Ordinance, Section VI to XVI; and Mineral Extraction Ordinance, Article IV – Section 5 – Application Procedures.)

The dates by which submissions for applications should be filed in order to be reviewed for completeness and placed on the agenda for the Board’s regular monthly meetings are set forth below.

The Subdivision Ordinance specifies that an applicant request to be placed on the agenda at least thirty (30) days prior to the regularly scheduled meeting (Section VI). The Planning Board, in order to conduct a thorough review of applications submitted to it, may limit such reviews to one subdivision application per regularly scheduled meeting (Section V).
