The Town uses the TRIO software program to track all assessments. Through TRIO all tax accounts have an individual tax card that outlines exactly how the account is calculated. Copies of these can be viewed at the Town Office during normal office hours, can be requested via email or fax or viewed on the website. Send an email request to Cheri, Diane, or Cary using the emails on the home page or fax request to 422-6705.
The Board of Selectmen are also the Board of Assessor’s and have chosen for many years, to hire an Assessing Agent. This is someone certified to compile assessments, prepare tax records and review property accounts. The Town of Hancock’s Assessing Agent is RJD Appraisals.
